Stance Capital Welcomes Karner Blue Investment Strategies to its Platform

Stance Capital, a Boston-based investment manager specializing in systematic and fundamental sustainable equity strategies, today announced the addition of three biodiversity-focused investment strategies to its platform. The strategies, formerly managed under Karner Blue Capital, are now available as Stance KB Global Biodiversity, StanceKB US Conservation, and Stance KB Ocean Impact, managed by the same portfolio managers and applying the same research-driven approach to nature-based investing.

The Stance KB strategies represent a meaningful expansion of the Stance platform, bringing discretionary, PM-led biodiversity investing alongside the firm's existing systematic equity offerings. All three strategies are available as separately managed accounts on major custodial platforms including Schwab, Fidelity, and LPL.

Stance KB Global Biodiversity is a globally diversified equity strategy focused on companies that are strong performers within their industries on biodiversity stewardship. Through industry-specific benchmarking and proprietary research, the strategy evaluates companies on environmental and biodiversity key performance indicators relevant to their sector.

Stance KB US Conservation applies the same fundamental research framework to the domestic opportunity set, evaluating US-listed companies against conservation criteria relevant to American ecosystems, land use, and regulatory environments.

Stance KB Ocean Impact focuses on companies with material impacts on, or meaningful solutions for, global marine ecosystem health.

Vicki Benjamin and Andrew Niebler manage the Stance KB strategies. Vicki Benjamin brings decades of experience in sustainable investment management. A former partner at KPMG and former CFO andPresident of Calvert Investments, she co-founded the Karner Blue Capital strategies in 2018 on the conviction that environmental and biodiversity risks represent material financial factors. She continues to lead the Stance KB platform as Portfolio Manager.

Andrew Niebler serves as Portfolio Manager for the Stance KB Biodiversity Strategies. A co-founder of Karner Blue Capital, he has served as its Executive Vice President, General Counsel, andChief Compliance Officer since the firm commenced operations in 2018. Prior to Karner Blue Capital, Mr. Niebler served in progressively senior roles within the legal department of Calvert Investments, including General Counsel andSenior Vice President.
